Hotel Services During COVID-19

The health and well-being of our guests and employees are of the greatest importance to us. We are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation and are collaborating with city and state officials to stay fully informed. In addition to our always diligent housekeeping, we have proactively implemented extra resources and sanitary procedures as preemptive measures.

Per the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, all visitors are required to quarantine for 14 days after entering the state unless they meet certain requirements, as well as complete and submit the Massachusetts Travel Form found here. Current exceptions to the quarantine include:

  • Coming from a lower risk state (currently includes: ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, NY, NJ, HI)
  • Produce upon request proof of a negative test for COVID-19 from a test administered no longer than 72 hours prior to arrival in Massachusetts
  • Be tested for and receive a negative test for COVID-19 after entering MA
  • Be traveling through the state expediently to another destination, including connecting to a flight
  • Coming to Massachusetts for medical care
  • Coming to Massachusetts to provide critical infrastructure services

Some Things That May Be Different

While some of the details and experiences of your stay will be different, our promise to you is that the feeling you get when you are here will be the same!

  • Your Room – Trust that your room will be unoccupied for at least 24 hours prior to your arrival. We are taking room safety very seriously and will not enter your room during your stay unless specifically requested. This does mean that we will not be performing daily housekeeping for both your health & safety as well as that of our staff. Should you need a refresh of towels or bath amenities during your stay, please don’t hesitate to let us know and we will bring them right up to you!
  • Your Morning – Our locally sourced coffee as well as our tea are still available, we just need to prepare your cup for you. Let anyone in the lobby know what you’d like from our coffee & tea menu, and we’ll make it just the way you like!
  • Your Business – Per state regulations, we had to close our business center. Should you have any printing or other business needs, just call guest reception and we will help.
  • Your Fitness – Per state regulations, we had to close our fitness center as well. The good news is that it’s summer in Boston and we have some great suggestions on where you can run, bike, or walk right in our neighborhood!
  • Your Tastebuds – Solas, our Irish pub, is open for indoor & patio dining for lunch & dinner as well as room delivery for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. More details can be found here.
  • Your Car – Valet Parking is limited due to state restrictions. Please pull up to our Exeter Street entrance to speak with our doorman about self parking options.
  • Your Experience – Hand sanitizers are available throughout the building. Please also only ride the elevator with members of your party and wear masks in any public space as well as making sure to practice social distancing where possible.
  • You – You made it to us and we couldn’t be happier to have you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out should you have any questions – we are here to help!

Health & Safety

  • Surfaces – All hard surfaces are disinfected per CDC standards using CDC certified products. In-room, this is done prior to arrival and in public spaces, this is done throughout the day.
  • Air – Everywhere possible, we will be increasing air circulation in the building.
  • Room – Trust that your room will be unoccupied for at least 24 hours prior to your arrival. We are taking room safety very seriously and will not enter your room during your stay unless specifically requested. This does mean that we will not be performing daily housekeeping for both your health & safety as well as that of our staff. Should you need a refresh of towels or bath amenities during your stay, please don’t hesitate to let us know and we will bring them right up to you!
  • Public Spaces – We have increased cleaning of all public areas and have hand sanitizers throughout the building. Please help us keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing, wearing a mask at all times, and only riding in the elevator with members of your own party. If you forgot your mask on the way out, just let us know – we have plenty!
